Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: August 2025
Applies to all private chef bookings, events, and related services provided in Curaçao.

 
1. Booking Confirmation & Deposit Policy
  • Bookings are only confirmed once we receive a non-refundable deposit along with written confirmation (via email or WhatsApp).

  • Deposit amounts vary depending on the size, type, and customization of the service.

  • Until the deposit is received and acknowledged, the requested date remains open to other clients.

 
2. Refund Policy
  • All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations due to travel disruptions, illness, or change of plans.

  • This policy covers upfront preparation, ingredient sourcing, and lost availability.

 
3. Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled event → forfeit the full deposit.

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance → may be eligible for rescheduling (subject to availability), but no refunds will be issued.

  • If BC Private Chef must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the deposit will be provided.

 
4. Date Changes / Rescheduling
  • Requests must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp) at least 72 hours before the scheduled event.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and not guaranteed.

  • If no alternate date can be found, the original deposit remains non-refundable.

 
5. Guest Count Adjustments
  • Final guest count must be confirmed 48 hours before the event.

  • Reductions after this period are not eligible for refunds or price reductions.

  • Additional guests are subject to approval and may incur extra charges.

 
6. Service Interruptions & Delays
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring timeliness and venue readiness.

  • Delays over 30 minutes may shorten the experience.

  • Delays over 1 hour may result in:

    • $100 per person per hour surcharge, or

    • cancellation without refund (depending on circumstances).

  • Aggressive or inappropriate guest behavior may lead to immediate termination of service without refund.

 
7. Communication & Contact
  • All booking, confirmation, and cancellation requests must be made via the official BC Private Chef WhatsApp line or email.

  • Clients must ensure open and reliable communication throughout the booking process.
